Spear Lake, Assiniboine River, East Goose Lake, Shell River, Silver Beach, Deep Lake, Arrow Lake, Seech Lake and Tokarok Lake are all within a one hour radius with excellent trout and fly fishing experiences.

Inglis Elavator

Inglis Grain Elevators National Historic Site is the last remaining row of standard country grain elevators. Five elevators still stand intact beside an abandoned rail line in sharp contrast to the demolition of thousands of elevators experienced in numerous prairie towns.

Asessippi Ski Hills

Nestled deep in the Shell River Valley, Asessippi Ski Area & Resort is Manitoba’s premier ski resort.  With 49 acres of skiable terrain, Asessippi has a lot of variety to offer.  From moguls and terrain parks to downhill snow tubing, Asessippi has something for everyone.

Lake of The Prairies Fishing Tournament

The Lions Prairie Classic is one of the most exciting catch-and-release walleye tournaments in the country and is limited to 120 teams. The two-day tournament is held on the second weekend in June.

World Class Hunting

The Asessippi region attracts hunters because of its abundance of waterfowl as well as larger animals, including deer, moose, bear and elk.

Russell Outdoor Swimming Pool

The Russell Outdoor Swimming Pool is located on the corner of Lawrence Street and Memorial Avenue in Russell. The pool is open June to August.

Russell & District Golf Course

The Russell & District Golf Course is a Class III, 9-hole, par-36 course. Grass greens, watered fairways, a driving range, licensed clubhouse with outdoor patio & licensed fairways, plus small party catering are all available.

Riding Mountain National Park

Moose Lake Cross-Country Ski Trail

The Moose Lake Cross-Country Ski Trail is located at the southwest corner of Riding Mountain National Park at Silver Creek off PR264.  The trail loops for approximately 10 km (6 miles) through aspen deciduous forest over moderately undulating terrain.
